Paducah officer selected to present at international law enforcement training conference

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah Police Department announced that Officer Carlos Kerley has been selected to present at the 2026 International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association Conference.
Kerley will present his class, “The Psychological Aspect of Shooting: The Why of Why We Flinch,” at the annual conference, which brings together law enforcement trainers from around the world to share best practices and improve officer performance and public safety.
Kerley has more than 35 years of law enforcement experience and is a repeat presenter at the conference. Officials said he is recognized for his expertise and leadership in firearms instruction.
The department said Kerley’s work has contributed to improving training standards for officers nationwide and praised his continued dedication to the profession.
