PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — The City of Paducah and McCracken County are notifying residents about authorized testing related to an upgraded 911 communications system.
Officials said crews with Communications International are conducting signal and coverage testing in the area as part of final preparations before the system goes live.
Residents may see workers driving a white GMC Terrain with a Texas license plate and roof antennas. The vehicle is not marked, but crew members are wearing company clothing and identification badges.
Authorities emphasized the activity is not related to law enforcement or surveillance and is solely focused on improving emergency communication services.
