Paducah to host annual City-County Spring Clean Up Day on May 3

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The annual City-County Spring Clean Up Day will be held on May 3, offering residents a free opportunity to dispose of garbage and household hazardous waste.

The event will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Republic Services transfer station, 829 Burnett St. Residents must bring proper identification to verify residency.

Participants are asked to enter from North 10th Street off Park Avenue to maintain traffic flow.

Household hazardous waste items, e-scrap, batteries, ammunition and prescriptions will be collected last in line.

Accepted items include household garbage, major appliances, tires, household hazardous waste, ammunition, expired prescriptions, batteries and e-scrap.

The event is funded in part through a Household Hazardous Waste Grant from the Kentucky Division of Waste Management.

Partners include the City of Paducah, McCracken County and several local businesses.
