Paducah woman driving taxi cab pulled over, arrested for drugs
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah woman driving a taxi cab was arrested after sheriff’s deputies say she had meth, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
Angela D. Thomas, 46, of Paducah faces charges of failure to wear seatbelts, no registration receipt, no registration plate, possession of controlled substance first degree (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Oaks Road near Estes Lane on August 4 about 3:30 p.m. Thomas was driving a 2005 Chevy van (taxi cab).
Thomas was in possession of a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, a quantity of marijuana, and several other items related to drug paraphernalia, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas is currently on probation for prior methamphetamine related charges.
Thomas was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
