Paris, TN man facing drug charge in Murray, KY
MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paris, Tenn. man faces a drug charge after Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies say he distributed large amounts of crystal methamphetamine.
Trey D. Cowans, 29, faces a charge of trafficking crystal methamphetamine (2nd offense) over 25 pounds.
Calloway and Marshall County sheriff’s deputies arrested Cowans at a business in Murray on April 18 around 5 p.m.
Over the last several months, detectives say they investigated and identified Cowans to be a large-scale methamphetamine drug dealer in the west Kentucky and west Tennessee area.
During his arrest and throughout the investigation, Cowans was found to be in possession of over 26 pounds of crystal methamphetamine that was intended to be distributed throughout the community, according to investigators.
Cowans was arrested with the assistance of the Calloway-Marshall Drug Task Force, Special Agents with the DEA Paducah Post of Duty, and KSP DESI West.
