Pedestrian versus vehicle accident leaves one injured

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A person was sent to the hospital after being hit by a car.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office on October 19, 2024 around 6:35 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Lone Oak Road and Gilhaven Drive for a reported collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Through investigation, it was determined that Magic Priddy of Lone Oak departed Huck’s Gas Station and walked back toward his residence by crossing Lone Oak Road.
It’s reported that Priddy was standing in the center lane waiting for traffic to pass. Michael Ratliff, also of Lone Oak, was traveling southbound on Lone Oak Road and attempted to turn into Huck’s Gas Station. As Ratliff entered the center-turning lane, he observed Priddy in the roadway. Both parties attempted to avoid the collision, but Priddy was struck in the southbound lane.
Priddy was treated on scene by Mercy EMS and was transported from the scene to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Responding agencies are McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, Mercy Regional EMS and Lone Oak Fire Department.
