Perry County Sheriff’s Office urges residents to stay indoors amid storm

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to avoid travel and stay indoors if possible due to hazardous conditions caused by the storm.

Emergency crews from Citizens Electric, MODOT, County Road and Bridge, and other agencies are working to clear roadways and restore power. The sheriff’s office has received multiple reports of accidents during the storm.

Warming centers remain open at the Senior/Community Center for those in need. Officials are asking residents to be patient and prioritize safety during this time.
