Police monitoring route for Muddy River Marathon

Several race volunteers and members of the Cape Girardeau Police Department will be monitoring the route and directing traffic for the 2023 Muddy River Marathon

The race begins at 6 A.M. this Saturday driving with caution is needed as some roadways will be impacted by this event. Bobby Newton, the Police Information Officer, with the Cape Girardeau Police Department says, “Trying to make sure that everyone that’s involved is safe and helping them get through intersections as well as other stuff.”
