Poplar Bluff hospital honors nurses during National Nurses Week

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) – In celebration of National Nurses Week, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center recognized its nursing staff with a special gathering and proclamation from Mayor Steve Cornman.

The proclamation acknowledged the nurses’ dedication to patients and the community.

During the ceremony, several Quality Awards were presented to outstanding nurses, including:

— Stormie Norden, RN, Sepsis Treatment Champion
— Jordan Harris, RN, Stroke Treatment Champion
— Nicole Gilmore, LPN, Infection Prevention Champion
— Constance Frederick, RN, Quality of Care Champion

Kim Shakleford, RN, was also recognized for excellence in the stroke program.

The hospital additionally celebrated its first nurse extern cohort, now serving as RNs, including Terrill Dodd and Amanda Greer.

Three Rivers College was thanked for its partnership in the Nurse Externship Program, which helps prepare the next generation of nurses.

The hospital expressed its appreciation for its nurses, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
