Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center donates $6,000 to support tornado relief efforts

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — In honor of Doctors’ Day, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center has donated $6,000 to the Butler County Disaster Relief Effort “Bluff Strong” to aid recovery efforts following the recent tornado.
Instead of accepting traditional Doctors’ Day gifts, physicians on the medical staff chose to support Bluff Strong, which provides resources and support to those affected, including shelter, essential supplies and long-term recovery efforts.
“Doctors’ Day is a time to recognize the hard work and dedication of our medical staff, and this year, they chose to honor that commitment by giving back to the community we serve,” said Clyde Wood, CEO.
The donation underscores the hospital’s commitment to supporting the well-being of the Poplar Bluff community and surrounding areas.
