Rend Lake upgrades infrastructure, plans new dog park

REND LAKE, Ill., (KBSI) – The Rend Lake sewage treatment plant is being decommissioned this week after connecting to the City of Sesser’s sewage treatment facility.

The upgrade allows for increased capacity, reduced maintenance costs and improved reliability of sewer and water services, enhancing recreation opportunities at the lake.

The decommissioned plant site will be repurposed as a dog park.
