Saint Francis Healthcare System hosts free skin cancer screenings

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Saint Francis Healthcare System is offering free skin cancer screenings on May 10 in conjunction with the American Academy of Dermatology’s SPOT me screening program.

The screenings will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at Cape Radiation Oncology. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling 573-331-5784.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the U.S., affecting millions of Americans each year. About one in five Americans will develop skin cancer during their lifetime.

The screenings will be provided by dermatology professionals from Advanced Dermatology of Southeast Missouri.
