Scott City man charged with second-degree assault

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A Scott City man has been charged with second-degree assault after a disturbance early Wednesday.

Brendan Arnold, 25, was taken into custody after returning to the scene of the disturbance in the 100 block of North Main Street, police said.

Arnold was charged through the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with a Class D felony. He is being held on a $10,000 surety bond.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.
