Scott City schools closed for two days due to sewer line break

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Scott City R-1 Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday due to a sewer line break in the district’s kitchen facility.

District officials said the issue has temporarily halted food service operations.

The district will use Alternative Methods of Instruction days for March 19 and March 20.

After-school activities and sports are expected to continue as scheduled, with coaches and sponsors providing any updates directly to families.

Officials said they are working to complete repairs and plan to resume normal operations as soon as possible.
