Scott County breaks ground for new and improved Justice Center

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of the new Scott County Justice Center was held on Friday May 2, 2025.

City leaders and community members came out welcome the new construction.

The new and improved Justice Center will have more space with additional court rooms, upgraded facilities and offices for both employees and the community.

A half cent tax was passed in Scott County to cover funding for the new Justice Center.

Construction on the center is set to be finished in spring of 2026.
