Sewer main break near dry docks to be repaired Thursday

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – 24-inch sewer forced-main break has occurred near the Dry Docks. Due to the high volume of water still in the sewer system from recent storms, immediate repairs were not possible.

Shutting off a lift station to perform repairs would have caused sewage to back up and overflow.

Repairs are now scheduled for Thursday, pending coordination with the railroad.
