Sheriff’s office investigates distribution of obscene materials at churches, public buildings

LYON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of obscene materials being distributed at churches and government buildings across Lyon, Livingston and Crittenden counties.

Authorities said the items have been found attached to doors at various public locations.

Officials are asking residents not to touch the materials if discovered, but instead to contact the sheriff’s office so deputies can collect the items and begin an investigation.

The sheriff’s office said it considers the incidents unacceptable and is working to identify those responsible.
