Shots fired in Cape Girardeau: One injured, one arrested

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- On May 5th at about 2:15pm officers responded to the 0-100-Block of Pindwood for a report of shots fired.

Officers learned of one victim who had a single gunshot wound to his leg and was transported to an area hospital prior to officers’ arrival on scene.

During the course of the investigation, officers located the suspect Colin Berry (27) of Cape Girardeau, and he was taken into custody.

Berry was formally charged through the Cape Girardeau County Prosecutors Office with Class A felony assault in the first degree, felony armed criminal action and class D felony of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Berry is currently being held on a No-Bond warrant.
