MT. VERNON, Ill., (KBSI) — Families with children who may have bone, muscle or joint conditions are invited to attend a complimentary pediatric orthopedic screening clinic later this month in Mt. Vernon.

The screening clinic, hosted by Mount Vernon Lodge No. 31, will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. March 28 at the lodge, located at 124 N. 10th St.

During the clinic, children will be evaluated to determine whether their orthopedic condition may be treatable at Shriners Children’s St. Louis. The clinic is intended for children who may show signs of an orthopedic condition or whose families are seeking a second opinion.
