Sikeston chamber ends ties with Hot Air Balloon Festival after 3 years; new host needed

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Sikeston Chamber of Commerce will no longer host the Hot Air Balloon Festival, opting to focus on other community endeavors, including the new Sikeston Rodeo Museum.

The chamber expressed pride in the festival’s three-year run, thanking sponsors, volunteers, vendors, pilots and attendees for their support.

The organization is willing to pass on the festival’s management to another group or community interested in hosting it.
