Sikeston motorcyclist seriously injured in New Madrid County crash

NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A Sikeston man was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash near Morehouse.
The crash happened around 5:37 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Missouri Route E, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a westbound 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 400, driven by a 46-year-old Sikeston man, went out of control and began skidding before it was struck by a westbound 2020 Ford Explorer.
The motorcyclist was flown to SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The Explorer’s driver, a 35-year-old man from Erie, Tennessee, was not injured. Both drivers were using safety devices, according to the crash report.
