Southern Illinois Healthcare to host free Baby’s Best Start Fair

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) —Southern Illinois Healthcare is hosting a free community event to empower new and expectant parents with resources and support.

The 2025 Baby’s Best Start Fair will take place Saturday, Aug. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Carbondale Civic Center. The event will feature nearly a dozen vendors and local experts offering guidance on breastfeeding, infant development, car seat safety and family support programs.

The fair coincides with World Breastfeeding Month and aims to reduce the overwhelm many families face in the early stages of parenthood.
