Stuart Nelson Park Road improvement project to begin Aug. 4

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A road improvement project on Stuart Nelson Park Road begins Monday, Aug. 4, in preparation for the opening of the Paducah Sports Park.

The project includes widening the road, adding curbs and gutters, a new stormwater collection system and a sidewalk along the east side. The intersection with Park Avenue will also be improved with the addition of a third lane.

Construction is expected to take about eight weeks, weather permitting. Motorists can expect reduced speeds, delays and temporary driving surfaces.
