The Chateau Girardeau names new CEO

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Retirement Community, Inc. dba The Chateau Girardeau has a new chief executive officer.
James R. “Jimmy” Wilferth was appointed its new CEO.
Wilferth most recently worked for Saint Francis Healthcare System as the Vice President of Support Services.
He initially joined Saint Francis in 2014 as Executive Director of the Saint Francis Healthcare System Foundation and was promoted to Vice President in 2017.
Before Saint Francis, Wilferth served as President of U.S. Operations for Heart for Africa. It is an international ministry dedicated to orphan care and sustainability for impoverished communities. He also served as Vice President of National Operations, Financial Director and Chief of Staff for Men at the Cross in Branson, Mo. Before that, he served as Vice President of Operations for Schaefer Electrical Enclosures and President of United Oil Co.
Wilferth currently serves on the Board of Directors for the PORCH Initiative (People Organized to Revitalize Community Healing) and Footsteps Medical Missions. He founded South Side Farms which is a working urban farm in south Cape. Wilferth is a member of the Cape Girardeau Lions Club, Cape Girardeau West Rotary and La Croix Church.

Wilferth will assume the CEO position in the coming weeks after completing the transition of his leadership role at Saint Francis Healthcare System.
