CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A third suspect in a Cape Girardeau shooting was arrested Wednesday.

Officers arrested Mylik J. Starnes, 18, of Cape Girardeau on Sept. 29 in connection with the shooting death of 39-year-old David Flores.

Flores was shot and killed inside his home near Giboney and Hickory Street on Sept. 23, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Starnes was taken to the Cape Girardeau Police Department on an active warrant for murder in the second degree, robbery in the first degree, and two counts of armed criminal action in connection with the death of Flores. His bond is set at $1 million cash only.

Delijah Z. James, 18, and Isaiah Koen Triplett, 18, both from Cape Girardeau were arrested last week in connection with the killing.

With this third arrest, investigators are confident all suspects connected to this homicide are currently in custody. No further arrests are anticipated.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department thanks the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Poplar Bluff Police Department for their assistance in the arrest of Starnes.
