Trash Service Changes in Carterville

CARTERVILLE, IL (KBSI) – The City of Carterville is getting a new trash system. SI Waste will replace Republic Services starting early July.

The containers will change colors from grey to blue. Carterville is asking residents to leave the blue bins on their curbs on the day of last pickup during the week of Jun. 24-29. New grey bins will be provided by SI Waste before Jul. 1.

The company will charge $9 per month for additional trash containers that will be billed on the water/sewer bill. The Carterville Water and Sewer Office will contact current Republic Services customers if they would like extra trash bins. Pricing changes for residential dumpsters are also changing and the city will be in contact with those affected.

Base residential trash bids will stay the same from Jul. 2024 through Jun. 2025.

Trash routes and pick up days will remain the same.
