Two juveniles arrested in connection with Paducah pawn shop burglary

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Two juveniles have been taken into custody in connection with a burglary at a Paducah pawn shop.

On Feb. 8, officers responded to a glass-break alarm at Cash Express Pawn Shop, 3315 Park Avenue. An investigation revealed that a stolen vehicle was used to break down the front entrance, allowing the suspects to enter the business.

Once inside, the suspects smashed a glass display case and stole several firearms.

With the help of the community, the suspects were identified and questioned by detectives. The 15-year-old and 16-year-old males were then taken into custody and lodged at the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.

Both juveniles were charged with burglary 1st degree. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are pending.

The names of the juveniles are not being released in accordance with Kentucky state law.
