U.S. 60 reopened after cattle truck loaded with steers overturns near Barlow

BARLOW, Ky. (KBSI) – U.S. 60 has reopened after a cattle truck loaded with steers overturned near Barlow early Friday, May 12.

U.S. 60 was blocked near the 7 mile marker in Ballard County. This crash site happened immediately on the LaCenter side of Barlow. The road was blocked until about 11 a.m.

A tree fell and was hit by the truck, causing the truck to run off the road and rollover, according to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1.

The 68 steers it was hauling were contained in the truck, but had to be off-loaded before the truck could be removed.
