CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — United Way of Southeast Missouri (UWSEMO) is accepting grant applications from agencies and programs seeking funding for 2025.

The application period, which opened Feb. 3, will close Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. CST. This year’s grant process will prioritize programs supporting self-sufficiency and income stability.

UWSEMO serves Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Perry and northern Scott counties, investing in nearly 30 partner agencies and 40 programs focused on education, income stability and health.

To apply, interested parties must complete a preliminary Grant Application Request Form, available at UWSEMO Funding – United Way of SEMO

A panel of local volunteers will review and score applications, with funding decisions announced in June.

UWSEMO Executive Director Elizabeth Shelton said the organization is shifting its funding strategy to emphasize initiatives promoting self-sufficiency.
