UPDATE Magill Hall is being evacuated on Southeast Missouri State University Campus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- UPDATE: Magill Hall is being evacuated as a precautionary measure after a potential gas leak was detected. Authorities are investigating.

The building has been closed until further notice. Individuals are advised not to attempt to enter the building at this time.

Rhodes and Johnson Halls on campus have reopened after authorities ruled out a potential gas leak.

Meanwhile, Magill Hall remains closed to faculty, staff and students as an investigation continues.
