Woman accused of grease attack, stabbing in custody

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — A 23-year-old woman accused of throwing hot grease at another woman and stabbing her during an argument is now in custody.

Sanaa-Azzariya McAfee is being held at the Cape Girardeau County Jail on charges including first-degree assault, armed criminal action and stealing a motor vehicle.

According to police, the incident occurred June 8 at an apartment on South Spring Street. The victim, who was stabbed multiple times and burned with hot grease, was hospitalized for treatment.

McAfee was arrested Tuesday after a warrant was issued for her arrest. Her bond is set at $100,000, and her first court hearing is scheduled for Friday.
