Woman arrested in Farmington on child sex crime charges

FARMINGTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Erika L. Morton, 36, of Farmington, was arrested June 17 on multiple charges related to child sex crimes, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The arrest followed an investigation by the patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, which received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about online child pornography.

Morton was charged with five counts of felony possession of child pornography and five counts of felony promoting child pornography. She is being held at the Ste. Genevieve County Jail on $1 million bond.
