Woman hospitalized out of state after altercation in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with an altercation that left a woman hospitalized out of state.

According to the Paducah Police Department, officers responded to a report of an assault at a local hospital, where a 37-year-old woman was being treated for injuries.

Investigators determined that the altercation occurred at a residence in the 1900 block of Guthrie Avenue, involving multiple individuals. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect, Ayonce Townsley, holding an unknown object.

The victim alleged that she was struck near the eye with a sharp object during the fight. She was initially treated at a local hospital before being transferred to an out-of-state hospital for further medical care.

Townsley was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
