Woman injured in McCracken County crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A two-vehicle collision Sunday evening on US Highway 60 sent one person to the hospital and closed the westbound lanes for about two hours.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at Ashland Avenue around 6:40 p.m.

Makika Murray, 34, of Bertrand, Mo., was attempting to enter the highway when her vehicle collided with a pickup truck and trailer driven by Christopher Orenish, 42, of Lacenter, Ky.

Murray was transported to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the West McCracken Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS and others.
