CREAL SPRINGS, Ill. (KBSI) – A woman faces several charges after sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of someone armed with a knife beating on a door.

Jessica N. Ford faces charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting or obstructing a peace officer and violation of conditions of pretrial release.

On February 11, at 12:34 p.m., Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of a female, armed with a knife, beating on the door of a home in the 300 block of East Jefferson Street in Creal Springs.

Deputies saw multiple people on the porch including a woman identified as Jessica N. Ford.

She had a knife on the ground near her feet and was partially concealing an 18” pipe under her dress, according to Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies say Ford appeared agitated and showed signs of impairment.

They removed the knife from the porch.

Deputies say Ford came to the home, appeared agitated, began striking the front door and was seen holding a knife.

The residents of the home say they were afraid, locked Ford out of the house and called 911.

Ford had recently been released from the Williamson County Jail. The home was a protected address as a condition of her pretrial release for a previous charge of domestic battery.

Deputies told Ford she was under arrest for violation of conditions of pretrial release and ordered her to release the metal pipe and get off the porch.

They say Ford refused and began shouting as she backed away.

Deputies ordered Ford multiple times to release the pipe. They say she refused and then drew the pipe from under her dress with her left hand and raised it above her head.

Deputies drew a stun gun and again ordered Ford to release the pipe. They say she did not comply and the taser was deployed striking Ford in the lower abdomen and left thigh.

After a brief scuffle she continued to resist deputies she was taken into custody.

They say Ford continued to resist as she was escorted to a patrol vehicle.

Ford was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
