ZALMA, Mo., (KBSI) — The Zalma R-V School District Board of Education has approved a resolution supporting a proposed $0.75 general obligation levy increase that will appear on the April 7, 2026 ballot.
The board unanimously passed the resolution during its regular meeting Jan. 12 in support of Proposition Zalma Kids, which would provide additional funding for district needs.
Board President Nicole Schrader said the board wanted to publicly express its support for the measure, noting the projects outlined in the proposal reflect the district’s priorities.
Superintendent Marc Crane said the funding would help address state-mandated safety upgrades, facility repairs and the continuation of key student programs.
District officials encourage residents to contact the superintendent’s office with questions about the proposal and to participate in the upcoming election.
