Zonta Club supports local efforts against sexual violence with charitable donation

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau has made a charitable donation to the Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence (SEMO NASV) to support its mission of providing care and advocacy for survivors of sexual abuse and assault.
The donation will help fund forensic interviews, medical exams and counseling services offered free of charge to victims and their families.
“We are honored to support the life-changing work of SEMO NASV,” said Sandy Hasting, Service Chair of the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau. “Their trauma-informed services bring hope and healing to survivors in our region.”
SEMO NASV Executive Director Alix Gasser expressed gratitude for the donation, saying it will directly support the organization’s ability to respond to child and adult victims of abuse.
The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau’s donation is part of its broader commitment to making a lasting impact through service and philanthropy in Southeast Missouri.
