Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office adds K-9 officer

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office welcomed a new member to its pack.

Sheriff Ruth Ann Dickerson introduced Deputy “Zeno” Monday through the office’s Facebook page.

The sheriff’s office partnered with other law enforcement agencies for their K-9 units to assist the office. The demands and needs warranted research of adding their own K-9 unit.

Having a K-9 unit and partnering with other law enforcement agencies to respond will broaden the community resources.
