Marion police arrest man accused of stealing car, possessing meth

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces charges after a car was stolen in Marion on March 23.
Adam D. Duncan, 31, is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of methamphetamine.
The Marion Police Department received a complaint of a stolen vehicle that occurred in the 1000 block of N. Granite Street on march 23.
The victim told police that he went outside, started his Ford Mustang and then had to go back inside his home briefly. When he returned, he saw his vehicle was missing.
Officers and detectives with the Marion Police Department searched the area for the stolen vehicle.
Within a few minutes a witness said that he/she saw someone trying to drive a Ford Mustang through a small opening in a fence in the 900 block of N. Bentley Street.
That’s when officers found the stolen Mustang and Duncan.
Police say Duncan was also found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
During Duncan’s first appearance in court his bond was set at $20,000 with a preliminary hearing set for April.
