3 face drug charges after traffic stop in Williamson County
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – Three people face drug charges after a traffic stop in Williamson County on December 11.
Patricia A. Goforth faces charges of driving while license suspended/revoked and no valid driver’s license (Ticket: # 46670).
Adam S. Gilreath faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
Devries faces charges of unlawful possession of two or more debit/credit cards, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additional charges related to the fentanyl are expected pending laboratory testing, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies saw a vehicle commit multiple violations of the Illinois Vehicle Code around 9:24 a.m. on Monday, December 11.
A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was identified as Patricia A. Goforth. Deputies say she had a suspended driver’s license.
Gilreath and Devries were passengers in the vehicle.
While speaking with the the people in the vehicle one passenger said they were traveling to Denver for vacation while another person was not sure where they were traveling to, where they had been, or the details of their travels.
One person stated that they never made it to their destination because they had been robbed.
A probable cause search of the vehicle discovered hypodermic syringes, methamphetamine, and fentanyl, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies found a large number of debit/credit cards, social security cards, insurance cards, and driver’s licenses from numerous unidentified individuals who were not on scene.
Goforth, Gilreath, and Devries were taken the Williamson County Jail.
