PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Paducah police ask for the public’s help finding a man accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home. Police also ask for help identifying a second man who fired several shots at the suspect’s car.

Keenan J. Martin of Paducah faces second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief charges.

Officers were called about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 13 to the 2900 block of Clay Street in Paducah for a “shots fired” complaint.

Officers found a damaged vehicle, but did not find any victims in the area.

Minutes later, they were notified a woman had arrived at Baptist Health Paducah with a minor gunshot wound.

Officers were given a description of the vehicle that dropped the woman off at the hospital. They found the vehicle near Paducah Tilghman High School.

The driver, Keenan Martin, was detained for questioning. Martin told detectives that an unknown person shot at his vehicle, but claimed he could not provide any further details.

Martin was released. While officers investigated the shooting, officers on Clay Street learned that Martin and the woman who was shot had come to Martin’s ex-girlfriend’s home.

The ex-girlfriend told police Martin entered her home without permission and destroyed several pieces of furniture. She said Martin then went outside and broke the rear window out of her vehicle.

The ex-girlfriend told police a man was in the area and saw what was happening.

She said that man exchanged words with Martin, then fired several shots at Martin’s vehicle as he and the other woman left.

The ex-girlfriend said some of the shots struck the vehicle, which apparently is what led to the other woman being injured.

Martin’s ex-girlfriend was not injured. The woman with Martin was treated at the hospital and released

Anyone with information about Martin’s whereabouts or the identity of the second man is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550.
