2 face drug charges in Jackson after trespassing complaint

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – Two men face drug charges after Jackson police investigated a trespassing complaint.

Charles D. Dobyns, 33, of Benton, Mo. faces charges of Class B felony of trafficking in the 2nd degree (fentanyl) and a Class C
felony of delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). His bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Jerrad R. Hovis, 29, of Jackson faces charges of Class B felony of trafficking in the 2nd degree (fentanyl) and Class C felony of delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). His bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Members of the Jackson Police Department conducted an investigation on January 13 for a trespassing complaint.

During the course of the investigation, officers became suspicious of the parties involved and continued with their investigation.

Officers found a large quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Dobyns and Hovis were arrested on scene.
