Several roads blocked by floodwaters in western KY

(KBSI) – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1 highway crews report several roads in western Kentucky are blocked by floodwaters and storm debris.
Carlisle County
- KY 1820 is blocked by floodwaters at the 1-2mm – Signs posted
- KY 1829 is blocked by floodwaters at the 5 to 6mm – Signs posted
Fulton County
- KY 94 is open with Water Over Road signs posted at the 7 to 11mm in the Lower Bottom between KY 311 and KY 1099
- KY 1282 is blocked by downed trees near the 6mm in the Wilson Hill area west of Brownsville – Heavy equipment to arrive for removal of several large trees
Hickman County
- KY 123 is blocked by floodwaters at the 14 to 16mm in the Hailwell area at the Obion Creek Bridge – Signs posted
Lyon County
- U.S. 62 is open at the 0 to 6mm with crews working to remove storm debris from right-of-way between Lake City and Kuttawa
McCracken County
- KY 1255/Bonds Rd is blocked by floodwaters at the 1 to 2mm immediately west of the KY 450/Oaks Rd intersection – Signs posted
Marshall County
- KY 1463/Benton-Birmingham Rd Closed by flooding at 0 to 2mm at Clarks River Bridge – Signs posted
Trigg County
- KY 525 is closed from the 2.3 to 3mm between Tuggle Rd and KY 1253/Hardy Rd to allow storm debris to be cleared from the roadway and and right-of-way today and Wednesday
Utility crews may work along highways at additional locations around the region.
Crews in many of the 12 District 1 counties will be out this week removing storm debris that was pushed off onto right-of-way during the initial effort to reopen highways.
County road crews will also work doing the same.
