Sheriff’s deputies arrest fugitive at Kuttawa business

KUTTAWA, Ky. (KBSI) – Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a fugitive at a business in Kuttawa on Saturday.
Deputies arrested Gregory S. Munsell, 30, of Princeton while he was in a Kuttawa business around 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 20.
They say he escaped from the Caldwell County Jail while being processed on April 12.
He was later tracked to McCracken County. He is accused of stealing a 2009 Dodge pickup on April 16.
He was the subject of a manhunt in McCracken County, but continued to evade law enforcement.
Deputies say Munsell committed a burglary of the Malloy’s Korner convenience store in southern Lyon County on April 19 after 10 p.m.
They say he left the scene and drove to Crittenden County where he committed a burglary of an automobile dealership on US 60 West of Marion around 4:25 a.m. on April 20.
Authorities tracked Munsell to Caldwell County and later to Lyon County where he was arrested at a Kuttawa business.
At the time of his arrest, deputies say Munsell was in possession of the stolen Dodge pickup truck.
Munsell faces charges of burglary-3rd degree, criminal mischief-1st degree, felony receiving stolen property-auto.
He also faces charges on arrest warrants with escape-2nd degree (Princeton Police Department), TBUT-auto (McCracken County Sheriff’s Office) and parole violation (KY Probation & Parole).
He was taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center.
The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office and Marion Police Department assisted the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
Charges are pending by the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office for the burglary in their jurisdiction.
