Cape Girardeau County Clerk; Local Election Authority prepare for Election Day

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI)- The Cape Girardeau County Clerk/Local Election Authority wants you to know this important information to be prepared for the August 6, 2024, Primary Election Day voting.
1. Know what ballot you will choose:
Republican
Democratic
Libertarian
Non-partisan (only constitutional amendments – no candidates)

Search by typing in your residential address
3. Make a plan to vote:
Election day polls are open 6am until 7pm
If you cannot make it to your polling place, the County Clerk’s office in Jackson and satellite office in Cape Girardeau are central polls open 6am to 7pm on election day where any registered Cape County voter can vote.
4. Bring one acceptable photo identification:
Nonexpired Missouri driver’s license or Missouri non-driver’s license
Nonexpired United States passport
Military ID containing a photo of the individual and is not expired or does not contain an expiration date, a document that satisfies all of the following requirements:
The document contains the name of the individual to whom the document was issued, and the name substantially conforms to the most recent signature in the voter registration record.
The document shows a photograph of the individual.
The document includes an expiration date, and the document is not expired, or, if expired, the document expired after the date of the most recent general election (November 8, 2022); and the document was issued by the United States or the state of Missouri.
