Missouri students compete in State Archery Championship

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI)— More than 4,000 student archers from nearly 300 Missouri schools gathered at the Branson Convention Center for the 2025 Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program (MoNASP) State Archery Championship.

The event, sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation, featured both bullseye and 3D competitions. Top-ranked archers will be eligible to compete in the Eastern or Western National Archery in the Schools (NASP) tournaments.

“We’re thrilled to see the growth of MoNASP and the excitement of the students,” said MDC MoNASP Coordinator Rob Garver. “This program teaches valuable skills, builds confidence, and promotes education.”

Scholarships totaling $30,000 were awarded to top archers, sponsored by the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation.

MoNASP is an in-school program for grades 4-12, teaching archery basics, confidence, self-control, and discipline. The program has engaged over 200,000 Missouri students since its inception.
