CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Cape Regional Credit Union has merged with Ozark Federal Credit Union, a move approved by members, the National Credit Union Administration and the Missouri Division of Credit Unions. The merger takes effect Sept. 1.
The consolidation expands financial service access and technology options for members across southeast Missouri, officials said.
“We’re honored to welcome Cape Regional members into the Ozark Federal Credit Union family,” said Chad Wolfram, OFCU president and CEO. “Our mission has always been to help members thrive financially — and now we have the privilege of doing that for even more people across Southeast Missouri.”
Founded in 1952, Ozark Federal Credit Union serves more than 16,000 members statewide. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, the credit union offers mobile banking, credit monitoring, card controls and low-rate loans for homes and vehicles, among other services.
Officials said Cape Regional members should see no immediate changes to account numbers, debit cards, online banking access or branch hours. Current staff will continue serving members, with a full systems conversion expected in early 2026.
In the meantime, Cape Regional members may open an Ozark Federal account to begin accessing the credit union’s digital tools and financial benefits.
