Southeast Missouri Food Bank announces leadership and staff appointments

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri Food Bank has announced organizational updates aimed at strengthening hunger relief efforts across the region.
Camille Peters has been named chief operating officer and will oversee the food bank’s operations, programs and partner agencies. Peters has been with the organization for more than seven years and has served in multiple roles.
“In her years with the food bank, Camille has shown a deep commitment to our work and the neighbors we serve,” said Joey Keys, president and CEO of the Southeast Missouri Food Bank. “I know she will bring that experience and dedication to this new role as we continue to improve and expand our programs.”
Peters said she looks forward to supporting the organization’s mission in her new position.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this role and continue driving operational excellence that moves our mission forward,” Peters said. “I look forward to supporting our team, improving our processes and ensuring we can maximize the impact of our work for the neighbors we serve.”
The food bank also announced the addition of Rebecca Lambert as corporate partnership manager. The position was created as part of the organization’s strategic plan to strengthen corporate partnerships and engagement with the business community.
“We’re excited to have Rebecca join the team,” Keys said. “Her experience in relationship-building will be vital as we work to expand corporate partnerships across our region.”
Lambert will also assist with volunteer engagement, helping connect corporate partners and community members with hands-on service opportunities.
The Southeast Missouri Food Bank serves families, children, veterans and seniors through a network of 140 partner agencies and direct-service programs across a 16-county service area. The region includes five of Missouri’s most food-insecure counties, with an estimated 1 in 6 individuals, 1 in 4 children and 1 in 8 seniors living in food-insecure households.
