LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Salem man was arrested Wednesday after deputies responded to reports of multiple vehicles and structures being damaged with spray paint, authorities said.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the Salem area about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 28. An investigation led to the arrest of 43-year-old Richard T. Watson of Salem.
Deputies said Watson physically resisted during the arrest and had to be restrained.
Watson was charged with eight counts of first-degree criminal mischief, public intoxication, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was also served with a Livingston County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of public intoxication.
Authorities said Watson was medically cleared following his arrest and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Deputy Brandon Vargas is leading the investigation, which remains ongoing. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
