Missouri board revokes licenses of Butler County funeral director, embalmer

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors has revoked the licenses of a Butler County funeral director and embalmer following violations related to death certificates.

Officials said Andrew Trammel Moore’s funeral director and embalmer licenses were revoked after he provided false information on a death certificate for one individual and failed to file a death certificate for another.

Authorities said the actions violated state law and caused harm to the families involved.

With the revocation, Moore is no longer permitted to work as a licensed funeral director or embalmer in Missouri.

The State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors regulates the funeral profession in Missouri, including issuing licenses, investigating complaints and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
